- Is it ok to use these products on sensitive skin?
Yes! Be sure to conduct a patch test before going full-throttle into using For Us' products to be sure that no irritation occurs.
- Prior to using For Us’ products, I was using ________. Should I jump right into using For Us’ products?
Please allow 24-48 hours before using For Us’ products, to allow your face to purge from the previous products you were using.
- What’s recommended for acne?
For Us' Daily Babies Trio is typically recommended. Depending on the severity of the acne/condition, we recommend trying our satin pillowcase to speed up healing.
- Are For Us' products kid friendly?
Yes! For Us products are plant-based and all-natural, the products can be applied to children of all ages.
- Is it ok to use the soap and Body Buddah on my entire body?
Absolutely! The properties and benefits of both products allows them to be applied all-over. *External use only!
- My skin "tingles" while using the soap. Why is that?
For Us' Black Soap is an exfoliant and detoxifier, which aids in drawing out impurities and excess oils to balance your skin's pH. This process can sometimes cause the skin to redden which should alleviate after a few days. (If you're a newbie, or just wanting to be cautious, perform a patch test by testing out the soap on a small area of skin.)
- What's the shelf life of the handmade products?
If kept refrigerated or in a cool area:
- Body Buddah: up to 4-6 months (due to no preservatives)
- Toner: up to 6-8 weeks (due to no preservatives)
- What should I do if the Buddah melts?
For Us is dedicated to keeping our products 100% natural and/or plant-based; meaning that our products are free harmful synthetic chemicals. No synthetic stabilizers, preservatives, nor additives are ever used to formulate our products.
It’s important to keep your Buddah out of direct sunlight or anywhere where temperatures exceed 73 degrees Fahrenheit, to prevent moisturizer from melting.
Considering that the Buddah is whipped, the whipping affect adds tiny air bubbles, which increases the size, lightness, density and texture; causing the light and fluffy texture. When the Buddah is exposed to high enough temperatures, the air bubbles collapse and the volume of the product appears decreased.
No worries, the formula isn’t compromised, just the texture! Simply stir the Buddah and refrigerate for it to re-solidify.
- My Buddah/Toner was lighter/darker last time.
As this may be true, the ingredients and their measurements are the same, every batch! With natural products, the hues/colors sometimes vary.
- There's small green specs/flakes in my toner, what is it?
Our toner is strained twice over, to minimize the amount of particles that are in your product. On occasion, some remnants of aloe vera, green tea, and/or ginger may end up in your product.
- Do you test on animals?
Nope!
